The Big Move - Part 2

I am feeling harassed. Work has been unbelievably busy (I was up running reports and sending things out until midnight last night - and yes, it's always an emergency *sigh*). I have had so many places to be and things to do, I haven't even had a chance to do more than glance at my favorite blogs. This weekend is completely taken up with non-bloggable time.

So, in the interest of getting myself moved over to the new spiffy MuNu digs, I will post here until Friday and then, I will start posting on the new page. This should give everyone else enough time to let The Bartender know if there are any problems viewing the page. (looks pretty good so far - no one has been complaining - but if you have a problem, be sure to drop a note in the comments over there!)

Typepad and MT are pretty close, but not exactly the same, so it may take me a bit to get my archives moved over there and also to figure out how to mess with my sidebar links which I do need to update a bit. I won't be putting anything new on this site except a few more posts.

Now all I really need to do is find out if I can keep a pointing post on the page or if I have to come back weekly to be sure it's still there. Typepad is odd in that way, it's impossible to keep something at the top of the page (at least on the lesser accounts) It doesn't let you mess with timestamps or stuff like that.

There must be a way though and I'll figure it out ---- eventually. When I have time... Yeah right.

The Big Move!

Yes, this blog is moving. It hasn't moved yet, because we're still testing. But The Bartender (who is just as persistent as Harvey) convinced me that being a Munuvanian (???) would be a very good thing. Then he proceeded to create a new look for my site. Pam employed her artful designs to some banners, buttons, and comment banner (which I missed earlier) .

Your assignment now is to head over to the new MuNu Technicalities and let us know how it looks on your browser. Comment over there so everything is in the same place.

Now I have to go over there, correct some spelling and then collapse into bed. It's been a VERY long day. Luckily it was uneventful, the new carpet is in place. But more later when I can see straight!

Dana's Right!!!

Almost 2 weeks ago it was her blogoversary!!! I dropped her a comment congratulating her and fully intended to come back here and blog it up! After all I have managed to blog several anniversaries lately. However, I got sidetracked and completely forgot!!!! Yes folks, memory span of a gnat - it's very very sad... *sigh*.

Today, in honor of FrankJ's blogoversary, she's linking to the only 2 bloggers who took note of her blogoversary. I like that - LOL. And creative thought like that certainly needs some extra linkage!

Donnie's Back!

While over at Blackfive's place earlier today I was reading with interest his comments on the Illinois Republican Senate debacle race. When lo and behold, who does he link to? Donnie! Oh yeah, the Bejus Pundit is back! And he is in fine form. Just start at the top and keep reading.

As for the Illinois Republicans... I left a longish comment at Matt's, but I think there are quite a number of us that want Matt to run against Dick Durbin. For that, I might even break my own rule about not getting involved in actual campaigning - LOL.

Check it Out!

Serenity has a brand new site design and it looks fabulous!

She has switched over to Expression Engine from pMachine. Which seems to have some very nice features.

So what are you waiting for? Go take a look!

Over at Insults Unpunished it seems that Robert is closing in on his 2 year Blogoversary. He is asking for a few extra hits so he can break the 500,000 mark by 5/26.

So, my faithful readers - all 5 or 10 of you *G* - just click on over and give Robert another hit if you haven't been there lately.

German to English Translation Help

I was browsing over at David's Medienkritik, he's asking for a bit of help.

It would reduce our work load considerably and speed up posting frequency if we had additional support from native English speaking folks for translating German postings into English.

This is an excellent blog - giving Americans an idea of how we are being portrayed over in Germany. Sadly I speak no German at all, but possibly someone reading here is fluent enough to lend a hand. Any other bloggers might help by spreading the word.

We need resources like David's to give us a view of the world we would NEVER see from our own news media.

Harvey has Moved!!!

Okay, so I'm late and everyone has posted this but me... Still thought I should announce it. Bad Money is now Bad Example and it looks absolutely terrific!

Now, you'll have to click over and read what Harvey's been writing, because I'm going to be busy working for a while. See this is what happens when I take the weekend off - people go moving around and I end up with no time for blogging because of a work backlog! There's just no winning.

Will Anyone be Blogging this Weekend?

I will be in the "light to none" blogging zone. We have so much work to get done around the house, I'll be busy all weekend. If I dare to sit down at the computer, I just KNOW I won't be able to get anything done at all! I'll tell myself... just one more blog to read, then I'll start cleaning that other stuff. Yeah right. I know better than that.

So, unless I do some sort of bodily injury that precludes cleaning and yard work, I won't be checking my computer at all. We're trying to get the place in some sort of shape. Then if blogless husband gets a job that requires us to move, we don't have to scramble to put the house on the market. (that would require that I do the scrambling while my husband is working in another city and worrying that I'm doing it all wrong - LOL) We could've been doing this for the last couple of years I suppose - but I hate cleaning closets, painting, and all that other junk. I put it off for as LONG as possible. But, I would hate it even more with a moving deadline... so I'll do it now. Ho-hum.
